As we approach 2018, here is some advice relating to the transition to new crop malt:
Please be aware that pale ale was fully new 2017 barley crop from blend PA 17-123 and Maris Otter was new 2017 barley crop from MOPA 17-39. Both are being shipped out to customers from mid-December onwards.
Customers should bear in mind that with any new season’s malt, brewers should consider re-optimising their processes to achieve the specification and process efficiencies required:
- Mashing regime-temperature

- Conditioning regime-finings optimisation-both auxiliary and conditioning (isinglass or equivalent)
